SLJ - Week 4 Day 5 - Activity 3: Concluding the Journey

  1. Which activity you enjoyed the most
  2. Which activity you enjoyed the least
  3. Three things that you learned while completing the program
  4. What changes/improvements you would make to the program for next year

The activity I enjoyed the most was the Rags to Riches it was the first activity of week 4. The reason it is my favorite is that it was really fun drawing my favorite book cover.

The activity I enjoyed the least was swimming to safety it was the second activity of week 1 day five. The reason I like it the least was because it took me 1 full day to do it and it was very stressful.

Three things that I have learned going threw this program are.
How to write longer stories and to make it better.
learned lots of vocabulary.
learned more ideas from people that have commented on my blog posts.

There should be no changes to the summer learning journey because it is good the way it is.

SLJ - Week 4 Day 5 - Activity 2: En Pointe

SLJ - Week 4 Day 5 - Activity 1: The World of Hip Hop

I like the royal family's dance it was very cool and they had a lot of cool dance moves the dancers danced very well and they were good at the dance.

I liked the costumes it was very light pink and cool the girls were wearing full light pink and had black stripes on the bottom of the costume.
The boys had a full black and a light pink belt a light pink vest and a light pink hat and they all looked very cool because they all matched.

The music that they used was very cool and they dance at the right time of the songs. They must have had a lot of practice because they were very good. The thing I like the most was that they won and they danced perfectly.

Here is the video on youtube of the Royal Family Dance.

SLJ - Week 4 Day 3 - Activity 2: Plot Points

  1. Movie - The background
  2. Charters - Joe, John, Jane, Jackie, and their uncle
  3. where it takes place - in the jungle.

This story is about Joe, John, Jane, jakie and their uncle.

They lived in a house in the jungle, their house was hidden, so no raiders could find them. One day they went hunting for food at the river, their house had gotten spotted by some raiders. When they came back they had realized that they had been raided, they panic and thought that the raiders might come back soon, so they pressed a secret button , one of the pictures on the wall, open and showed a slide going down to somewhere. They went down the slide and closed the picture by pressing another button that was in their secret layout. They had enough food to keep them in there for a whole in the year. There was also another slide, leading outside and no one could see it, cause it was too hidden.

The people that made all of it was Joe, John, Jane, Jackie's dad, and mum the stories of there parents were, that they had birth to all four of them. The raiders found them and they didn't know what to do, so they put the baby's down the slid and closed the picture. They couldn't put one of there daughters, so all three of them got caught.

The mum and dad were captured and toured, then were hanged. The baby was raised by the raiders, when the babies were 20 years old, they realized that John and Joe were twins. They came back up into the house and cleaned it up.

They saw a man outside there house, but it was too hidden he couldn't see it, they thought he was a raider but he wasn't, because he got captured by some raiders right in front of there eyes. They wanted to help the man so they followed the raiders, and they found the raiders' basement.

They snack in the raiders' basement, they saw this girl that look the same as Jane. They thought they were seeing things but they won't they waited and followed the girl, when they went up to the girl, she was surprised when she saw them. She said her name was Jackie, they asked her about there parents she said, she didn't know about them.

She showed them a book of the people, that they have hanged and in the book, they saw the mum and dad and that when they knew that their parents died.

They also wanted to save that man, that was captured by the raiders. Jackie was a part of the raiders. so she went and tried to get the people, to make her take the man to the prison room. It worked but she didn't do what she was told, she took the man back to where they lived.

They sooner found out that the man, they had saved, was their uncle. He was trying to find the house, that why they had spotted him there before. The uncle told them, everything about there parents and that how they know.

SLJ - Week 3 Day 5 - Activity 2: Caine’s Arcade

My favorite game is fortnite, it is a very fun game, and the way to play is, the first thing you need, a PC, PS4, Xbox, or a Nintendo switch, and then you download fortnite. The way to play is that you have to try to come first. But you can only do that by playing, aggressively or just playing it smart. You have to kill people, so the number of people will go down, then when it's a 1v1 when it just you versus another player, you have to battle it out until whoever dies, and if you win you get the victory royale, but if you lose you came second. But if the game is too long, then the storm will cover the whole map, and you have to try and stay alive by using your healing. You can also play with your friends if there's just two of you's play duo, but if there are 4 of you's then play squads or team rumble.

Here is a video of one of my favorite YouTuber getting a win of fortnite you can watch this video.

The bus driver had her arrested she was later convicted for not following the law this made a lot of people mad and sparked the Montgomery boycott with another major person in African American History, Dr. Martin Luther King, jr.

The boycott saw that the African Americans refused using the bus to get around town.

And when the mini bus's set to empty the city had to do somthing. The boycott ended on December 20, 1956, after the supreme court said that you could not treat African American people unfairly.

SLJ - Week One Day 5 - Activity 2: Swimming to Safety

once upon a time there was a swimmer called Yusra she loved swimming. She was a very good swimmer but when she was little she was afraid of the water.

once her country got attacked that meant it was a war she and her family were scared but once when she tried going to the gym with her dad to go swimming it was destroyed by the bombs that meant she couldn't do the thing she loved the most swimming.

She begged her parents to book a flight to Europe but her parents said no because it was too dangerous but it was also too dangerous to stay in their country.

Yusra's and her cousin and her older sister planned to go to Berlin Germany the things she took were some close and a few cash so she could pay the guys that helped them leave.

When they got on the boat and left they got spotted so they had to go back. They waited for the moon to come out so they wouldn't get spotted and it worked they were on the boat after a while the boat engine stopped working because the boat couldn't hold this 20 people it could only hold 6 people.

Water started coming into the boat everyone started throwing their things into the water and some of them couldn't swim so Yusra and her sister plus another 2 people held on ropes and swam. Yusra wanted to cry but she couldn't because a little boy was looking at her and she didn't want the boy to be sad so she smiled.

They thought they were gonna die but they didn't they could see something in the distances so they kept on swimming and made it.

When Yusra got there she slept on the ground at a refugee camp for months but she was safe and she also heard about a swimming club.

Yusra also got into the Olympics as a refugee she raced in the 100-meter butterfly and won she still lives in Berlin Germany and her parents and little sister lives there with her too.

SLJ - Week one Day 4 - Activity 1: Making a Racket

The video I have watched was about Serena Williams.
The 3 things I have learned were
  • Serena Jameka Williams was born on September 26, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan.

  • Sarena's family moved to Compton California and that where Sarena started playing tennis her dad was the one that studied tennis and showed Sarena and her sisters how to play. Sarena started playing when she was 3 and has been playing ever since

  • Sarena Williams established the Sarena Willams foundation in 2008 her goal was to provide support for underprivileged children and children impacted by violent crimes.

  • The thing I would want to remember about Serena Williams is that after recovering she won multiple Singel titles double titles and mixed double titles including mini grand slam titles and four Olympic gold medals.
