SLJ - Week 4 Day 3 - Activity 3: Feast or Famine

I would want to join the 20 or 40-hour famine because it looks very fun. I would love to go and meet other kids from different countries. I like how Julian Dennison went there, he had a lot of fun with those kids. I would love to go and do that sometimes. I can go there and try out, how they live there. I also want to see and learn how they live without parents.

  1. The 2020 World Vision 40hr famine is on 5th-7th June this year so perhaps you could do something as a school or a class collaboratively? What would you give up for 40 hours AJ?

I'm not really sure what I would give up 40 hours for.

  2. Talofa lava AJ,

It's awesome that you want to learn about other cultures and get an idea of how other people live. It's always such an eye-opener when you visit other countries and see the similarities and differences between your own country. I remember doing the 40 Hour Famine when I was in school. We were only allowed to eat barley sugars. It was pretty tough, especially when my family was eating regular meals. I think there are other options these days though - you don't just have to give up food. You could do a technology/devices famine as well. What things would you give up if your took part in the 20/40 Hour Famine?

    Have an awesome day. :)

    Bye for now,

    Mikey
